North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina:
Created from four older communities in 1968, North Myrtle Beach (population 18,000) is a tourist town on South Carolina's northern coast. It has many of the same amenities as neighboring Myrtle Beach but without the congestion.
Locals enjoy nine miles of beautiful beaches, and fishing charters are abundant. No fewer than 10 golf courses have a North Myrtle Beach address, and another 40 courses are within a short drive. The large mixed-use Barefoot Landing includes all kinds of restaurants, shops, and a marina. Tanger Outlets has more shopping choices.
The Barefoot Princess Riverboat boasts sunset and dinner cruises, and the House of Blues and the Alabama Theatre offer comedy, musicals, dining, and gospel brunches. The town manages an aquatic center, dog parks, lacrosse fields, tennis courts, boat ramps and paved trails. The white beaches and tidal creeks of Bird Island State Reserve are just across the border in North Carolina.
It's the short building on the far left.
