Waymart, Pennsylvania:
Waymart (population 1,300) is a leafy, tight-knit community tucked in the scenic Pocono Mountains of bucolic northeastern Pennsylvania, about 20 minutes northeast of Scranton and two and a half hours northwest of New York City. Forested land is all around, and several lakes are close at hand.
Homes tend to be older, larger, and on a well-tended lot. Sidewalks are few. Salem View Estates is a nice planned community. A few mom and pop cafes, restaurants and shops are in the center of town. Crime is practically non-existent.
